    茶和咖啡在世界范围内都拥有数以亿计的忠实粉丝,分别是西方国家和东方国家的“国饮”。虽然东西方习惯喝两种看似完全不同的东西,但茶和咖啡实质上都包含着相同的物质——咖啡因。茶和咖啡之所以都是风靡世界的饮品,或许也是咖啡因的特质在起作用。

    咖啡因会刺激脑部的中枢神经系统,延长脑部清醒的时间,使思路清晰、敏锐,注意力集中,有着很好的提神醒脑、兴奋神经的作用。因此很受上班族们的青睐。当然,再好的东西不能多吃。过量嗜饮咖啡与茶,可能导致缺铁性贫血。这是因为茶和咖啡中的某些物质,会抑制铁质的吸收。中国有句俗话,“饭后一杯茶,快活似神仙。”虽然饭后饮茶是很多人的习惯和喜好,但是从健康的角度来看,饭后饮浓茶的危害很大,因为人体所必需的铁、维生素等物质,通常在日常饮食中摄取,饱餐后,食物尚在胃中,此时喝浓茶,铁的吸收更容易受到阻碍,不利于身体健康。

    

Lesson Translation
Tea and coffee have hundreds of millions of fans around the world, which are respectively the “national drink” for western countries and eastern countries. Although people in both areas like drinking totally different things, tea and coffee actually contain the same substance: caffeine, which might be the reason that makes both tea and coffee popular among the world.
Caffeine would stimulate central nervous system in the brain, prolong the waking times and make your mind more clear and acute. It also makes you more concentrate with excellent refreshing functions, which makes it popular among office workers. Certainly, you cannot eat too much nice food. If you drink too much coffee and tea, it leads to iron-deficiency anemia. That’s because some matters in tea and coffee would inhibit the absorption of iron. There is a famous saying in China goes like this: You will feel wonderful if you have a cup of tea after meal. Although many people like to have tea after meal, heaving tea after meal would do harm to your body from a perspective of health because the uptake of matters necessary to one’s body such as iron and vitamins are from daily food. After a substantial meal, the food is still in one’s stomach. If one drinks tea immediately, it would be difficult for one to absorb the iron, which will bring no benefit to one’s body.
