Summer refreshment, the way of food

When the hottest “fu” days of summer have arrived, people who have spent a few years of Beijing life probably all have this kind of feeling—every year starting from the end of April, the weather will suddenly heat up. The hot days can persist through the end of August, even into the beginning of September, and the summer heat still isn’t willing to leave.
If you catch up to the autumn tiger, all the way to the beginning of October, perhaps it can still be unbearably hot.
In the scorching summer days, in order to compensate for the tormenting summer heat’s consumption, it’s still worth paying attention to eating things.
As for the traditional summer diet of Beijing people, you can use an old adage to generalize, which says “beginning ‘fu’ days-dumplings; 2nd ‘fu’ days-noodles; 3rd ‘fu’ days, pancakes with eggs.”
According to old people’s explanation, this beginning ‘fu’ dumpling, as per Beijing people’s rules, the important thing is to not eat meat filling, but to eat vegetarian filling.
This vegetarian filling also isn’t improvised by haphazardly making ready-made fennel and leeks, cutting and chopping. But it’s eating spring sun-dried spinach, shepherd’s purse, purslane, etc.
When it’s summer, use tap water to scald the wild vegetables, mince, add “hai mi” dried shrimp, or “xia pi” shrimp, crack a few eggs, add Chinese 5 spice, “xiao mo” sesame oil. As soon as you blend it…that scent, at one sniff, absolute beauty! Upon eating, not only does the fragrance fill the place, it’s also succulent…you can’t eat just one bite!
Every time it comes to those intolerable days of summer, Beijing people will often gather together at places with water to feel the cooling air.
In the past, Beijing had many places with water, but today, following the changes of urbanization, places with water in the city have decreased quite a bit.
Fortunately, places like Shíchàhǎi, táorántíng—these kind of good places, are still relatively completely preserved.
Because of this, they’ve also turned into Beijing peoples’ excellent summer heat places.
The ancient peoples said: “Sustenance is of the utmost importance to the people.”
In the scorching summer days, you’ll want to wait it out by taking advantage of the shade to have excellent food—in order to consider it the days spent by immortals.
Because of this, ‘xiao chi’ snacks have become the people’s summer delicacy for enjoying coolness.
No matter if it’s “luzhu,” or “chaogan.” It doesn’t matter if it’s Toufu juice, or “guanchang,” and of course there’s still “baodu,” roasted “dalian,” adding a little Muslim halal snacks, such as “aiwowo,” “wan” yellow beans, “donkey” rolls, buttered fried cakes, mixed lamb, cut-up cakes, etc., they all can allow Beijing people to engorge themselves in the summer days and evenings.
Looking this day at the daily increasing heat, if we think in these slow 4 months in the middle of the summer heat, we can always maintain our body’s health, safely and soundly.
You might as well go as the older generation’s saying-- in the beginning ‘fu’ eat dumplings, in the 2nd ‘fu’ eat noodles, in the 3rd ‘fu’ eat pancakes and eggs.
Don’t just idly stay cooped up at home with nothing to do, wasting time tuning the channel and watching TV. Also go out and walk around, at a place with water, taking advantage of the coolness. Really enjoy summers delicacies and beautiful scenery.

Huzi,what happened, darkened face?
Yesterday with wife quarreled. It was my fault, but I am ashamed to apologize to her.
Hmmm! Isn’t this easy to handle? Today after work buy a bunch of flowers then done.
Oh? Buy bouquet red roses
Today is not even Valentine's Day, to apologize to people need to deliver yellow roses.
Oh, today even increase knowledge.

Fantasticlessons. Suggestion: change wirtten to written. In fact, it would be better to change it entirely to say (can be translated as either lively or hot and bustling)

Hi, thanks for the courses - the material is very useful.
One small technical thing in this lessson, the third sentence recording on the "Content" page in the "Text with Pinyin" section seems to be broken in the middle.
Thanks again for a great job done and an excellent resource for students of 汉语!
